She spent nearly 18 years as Vice President of City Year, a national service program to unite young adults from diverse backgrounds for a demanding year of full-time community service. There, Bernadette focused on people operations and strategic human resources, including employee relations, performance management, compliance and professional development. Since becoming a consultant in 2023, Bernadette has been supporting entrepreneurs in establishing values-driven systems for strategic human resources, people operations and organizational culture building.
